i agree. one of my short comings was not having a team behind me. i got burned out doing a 9-5, promoting my own shows, putting up posters, do my show, then hop of the stage and sell some cd's. then gotta go to work in the morning. not to mention funding everything myself. gone are the days where every rapper got a crew that is just as hyped as the rapper, cause they all believe in the dream. with this new climate in the music industry, you have to be really creative and savy about your marketing. dude can spit though. my only critique is the sound quality could be better. one way to get a good buzz and market yourself to many people at once is doing shows. do as many shows as possible. people remember good performers. you want to create a core fan base, who will support you through the climate changes. know who your audience is. that doesn't mean that you limit yourself to one type, but artist go wrong when they try to be everything and please everyone. be true to who you are. be strategic. you want to get to as many people possible, at one time. last thing: perform, perform, perform! get some shows.
