I've recently met some 7th day adventist christians, they go to church on Saturdays. They believe after the six days of Creation, the lord rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath for all people as a memorial of creation etc etc. I kno folks that are part of that and believe it or not, they criticize all other christians based on going to church on Sundays. They go exactly with what the bible says and in most ways, they are correct. Why couldn't other Christians go with the bible when they 1st started? Why is there all this seperation even WITHIN the same religion? Some say the catholics changed the day so they can get away from the Jewish traditions. But regardless, in the bible, it clearly states that god told the people to worship him on the 7th day, the day of rest.

And the Lord saith unto him;

"Thy rod and they staff have become exceedingly large. Place thy rod unto thine female holster."

And the woman's legs were spread apart in a wide fashion, and when he had proceeded to do this, the Lord saith unto him in a loud voice:

"Make that ass clap, my son, grab the breast with thine right hand, and the ass cheek with thy left."

And the Lord saw that he did indeed lay the pipe. And it was good.

When the chrisitans were under Roman Rule, they started observing their sabbath on Sunday to differentiate themselves from the Jewish people (whose sabbath is sundown friday night to sundown sat) in order to avoid persecution and confusion for being Jewish, and it has stuck around ever since...

It does make sense, but what I'm saying is.. if you're a Christian, you are suppose 2 follow the bible, it doesn't matter what the romans did, why aren't Christians going to church on Saturday in this day and age? I would assume the 1st thing you should ask in your bible studies is why do we go to church on Sundays? it's the basis. Seperate from the jews or not, fact is, god has said that Saturday is the holy day of the week. So there's a big contradiction here.

Because most are ignorant.
And those who are familiar with the history and do know what the bible actually says,
rather stick to man's tradition instead of God's Word.

Which is what Yeshua clearly warned about when he said that it's hard for rich people to get into heaven because they serve two masters.
The rich serve man's money and these so-called Christians serve man's tradition over God.

And this further solidifies Yeshua's metaphor of the wide and narrow paths in life.
The path to eternal life is so narrow that even people who have heard the Word won't find it....

This is like asking why dont we sacrifice animals anymore. It comes down to this when our Lord Christ came into the picture he was the sacrifice for things ritualistic. If you really follow God and Jesus you do not concern yourself with such trivial things as this. Remember the only reason you go to church is to worship with other believers. You could never go to church and still be with God when it is that time. You help further God in society and gain a better understanding of yourself as relates to God. To those who seek to defame God your only furthering his cause.
