why cant i play these movies i downloaded?

ok, so i downloaded a bunch of movies this weekend, bootlegs and shit...and for some reason i cant play them...it keep saying something about a codec ?...and tells me theres an error downloading the codec and the format is not supported...


Any ideas ya'll......i was using window media player to play them

OK, i visited those poages and im a little confused, so the mpeg4 codec need to be dowloaded..?. and then my WMV should play the vids...?
or is there a different player i should download.....

you need the updated codecs

go to www.videolan.org and get the VLC Player, you wont need have to worry about codecs. This shit plays just about everything straight from installation.
