i have one and fix them(along with ps2s) as a side job and have never had or came across any major problems with them,and i have had mine within maybe a couple months of the intial release date

im on my 2nd xbox, if u got a roomate/s take your power cord with you, cause ive heard that different model types of xbox can be easily burned out, or dont play for long extended period of times

I had an XBOX since they were first released, I had to replace my first one when Soul Calibur came out though, it had a shitty ass Thompson drive and wouldn't read the game, the one I have now has a Phillips drive, havn't had any problems since...

yeah i had no problems then the Tompson drive died on me, bought a new one got a Samsung drive in it.. PERFECT! if u buy a brand new one.. it should do u good and u shouldnt have any problems with it.. the first release Thompson drives go out every once in awhile.. best gaming system out right now.. i cant stand PS2 grainy graphics.. yeah they might have hella games.. but still IMO Xbox kills it..

ya i had one but it stopped playin games,it stopped around the time the grand theft auto pack came out,i was so mad cause i put the game in and it wouldnt read it..so i traded the fucker in and got money off my new xbox

Samething happend to me.. as soon as i tried to GTA it was fucking up, it got me pissed.. it took like 15 seconds just to change radio songs and to start playin..
