There are a couple of diamonds in the rough, but they just arent getting the audience they deserve. Smackdown use to be my favorite show before it fell off, before they moved it to fridays. I do look forward to see anything now with Lashley, Finley, Booker and Regal or Kendrick & london- MnM was on point also. Those first four are just barely holding shit together right now.

The Pirate is popular & extremly tallented, but Im just not feeling the gimmick. I have to assume theres some contracted Disney Tie-in there with their pirate movie coming out this summer. Dope finnisher though, imagine an inverted reverse Rock Bottom, if I even described that correct.
JBL will be good on color with Cole, but it wont be the same chemistry Cole & Taz had...

Smackdown still has one year left on the contract regardless of anything...

My guess (and its uneducated cause I know shit about TV) if ECW does well for scifi, they scrap smackdown altogether and just go straight ecw. Depending on what numbers that draws then UPN/WB/CW will decide to renew or not.

well I know a little about how TV works cuz I've known people in the industry. The producers and talent, WWE, Vince Titan Sprts etc are still going to get paid whether it gets ratings or not. The Network mostly gets their money off of advertisements. If they decide to cancel Smackdown, Vince won't lose anything cuz they had a contract. He can take the talant he likes from smackdown and put them on raw or ECW (if it lasts 6 months) and shit can the rest of the guys who will probably end up back on the indy circuit or TNA
