I actually found sunflower seeds to be a very good technique to help stop smoking... though I went through a whole bag of the damn things and couldn't feel my tongue for like a whole day, but in the long run... they helped a lot and I'd say it was worth it.

Cosign with the original post. As for gas one, I hate that shit too. Which is why I also use a empty bottle or cup. Only time I spit on the ground is when I'm walking somewhere or in the car with the window down... Even then its kinda gross to spit out the window lol.
