You might be getting laid off man. Sometimes employers don't have the balls or the legal backing to fire you so they do shit to make you quit, that happened at my first job.
Everyone listen up! If you are going to focus on a career job, or one that is going to support you for many years to come, make sure it is a union job. I can not begin to tell you how much you will benefit from the union, you have to expierence it yourself. Then again, there are good and bad unions; UFCW 1288 & 588 are the shit. I have a set minimum hours they can work me, they can't fire me unless I do something outrageous or redundant, I pay $35/mo for full medical/dental etc., paid vacation, floaters, triple time on holidays, time and a half on sundays, time and a half for over time, the list goes on and on! The most important thing is they can not fire you without just cause.
Anyone with a union? What do you think? I know there are some lazy unions out there that don't fight for you, but there are a lot of really good ones.
