I waz sittin up here watching Menace II Society a few nightz ago & one thing I've alwayz felt waz how impressed I waz @ MC Eiht's performance in the film. Now I know he didn't become a major star in Hollywood like Cube but one thing they do have in common iz that boths big screen debuts were in Classic hood films & both were respected West Coast rappers @ the time.

Now my question iz who do u think made a stronger acting debut. And I mean who played there rolls better. Not which film waz better, who's career took off or who waz the better MC @ the time cuz that haz nothin 2 do with who played there rolls better.

Ice Cube az Dough Boy in Boyz-N-Da-Hood

MC Eiht az A-Wax in Menace II Society

I don't think either one really outdid the other to where you could say he did better. Both had their good moments in each film, and they also shared some moments where they weren't believable.

I say neither.

Everyone made some solid opinions but whenever I go back & look @ Boyz.. I'm not az impressed now with Cubes performance az I waz when I first seen the film. When I watch Menace.... I still like Eiht's performance a lot. For an amatuer he did one hell of a job IMO. Cube seemed a little less polished to me.

8 never had to really "act" though. He never had to change his tone, act humorous. He never had to change it up, though.

I agree that Cube's performance doesn't have the same quality as I thought it did when I was younger, but as I said, 8's role didn't call for him to do much more than be 8 on a serious tip.

Cube had a bigger role, and did a good job. but how sick was mc eiht's part? one of my favorite scenes (obviously) is when they're driving in the car before they light those fools up. Mc Eiht looks muthafuckin PISSED and is just lookin from left to right, like hes so fucking determined. his role is smaller, but the shit he says is dope and he does a good job.

Cube Hands Down.. How Many Movies has Eiht Starred In Since His Debut.. LOL
If u read my original post @ the beginning of thiz thread I aked 2 NOT bring up "who's acting career took off & who's didn't etc". Thatz not gonna define who did a better job in there first acting gig & u just entered politics into the discussion which I waz trying 2 avoid from the jump. Master P got more albums out then Rakim but does that make P a better rapper? I just wanted 2 know from people who hd a more solid performance in there acting debuts.

Well I Brought It Up, And Now Its Here... I Didnt Read Yo Post I Answered Yo Thread Title.. And Also What I Said Had To Do Wit Yer Question Still.. I Was Sayin He Made More Movies Later On Which Means He Made A Stronger Impact... Eiht Wasnt Gettin No Calls... Not Even A Back Up Role In A Flick..
Also Since We On It I'll Answer Ur Question The Way U Wanted It To Be..

In A Nutshell:
I Feel Cube Debuted Harder Because MC Eiht's A Wax Character Was One Of The Worst Acting Parts Ive Seen In Cinema History.... Point Blank..
