get a credit card through the airline you will use the most. not only will you probably get a free ticket or 2 off top you can rack up points faster as they may give you double points or more if you use that card to book flights, also most those cards accumalate points off purchases through the card, so use for groceries gas or things like that that can add up fast. Pay it off every time you use it for groceries, just pay with that carrd and take the moeny you would have spent anyway and pay it towards the card asap, that way you wont rack up interest rate but still get points.

does anybody have a bank card that earns them miles? either credit or debit?

the airline credit card thru american isnt worth it. and i think that might be the airline ima use most often. they are cheap and have lots of routes.

jetblue didnt have a route i need.

my current bank does not, but I believe you may be able to register your credit/debit card through certain merchants which will go towards miles, but im not 100% sure on that, you would have to check with american airlines.

I have an Alaska Airlines Credit Card (through Bank Of America). I would give it a B rating overall and a A- solely in comparison to other airline credit cards.

Positives
-25,000 miles for signing up (enough for a round trip ticket)
-one $99 companion ticket a year
-1 Mile for every dollar purchased
-double miles for any alaska airlines ticket purchases
-1 mile for every mile you fly
-1000 Miles for booking online

Negatives
-175 yearly fee
-Miles can be difficult to redeem (limited number of seats available per flight)
-Round trips not always 25,000
-Round trip mileage price increasing (15,000 - 20,000 - 25,000)

I hear that the American Express Mileage reward card is the best as far as airline rewards, but Alaska is probably in the top 3 and I have racked up over 100K on Alaska so I am not switching anytime soon.

I got one with Alaska Airlines.... Use it for my business so we rack up hella miles. Just flew first class from LAX to Cancun and back a few weeks ago. Will be flying for free to Vegas in a couple weeks on Horizon/Alaksa. Its definately nice to have.. All the expenses of business are something I gotta charge sometimes anyways so being able to get some free flights outta the deal is dope. Only time I pay to fly is on Southwest goin to SD or LA FROM Oakland

VIrgin America got one too. 1 point for 1 dollar spent. no annual fees. signing up gets you a free 1 way ticket and like 2500 points (which is basically a free 1 way ticket)

all the airline credit cards have extra high interest rates around 25%, so they only good if ur gonna pay it all off everytime, not if ur gonna leave a balance

some have high ass annual fees around 80-100 bucks, but the ones that do usually give a fat ass bonus in miles.

still researchin before deciding.
