do you ever just pick sumthing up for the fuck of it or are you picky about your music?

me i'm real picky.

my thing is i want to be able to REALLY get into whut the "artists" is saying and i want to FEEL the thoughts they convey.

i can't say every rapper is an "artists" cause maybe he's flat with his approach.maybe he's just rapping.

but if he's really creative or has alot of style and mixes various messages in his raps thats tight.i like delivery and word play shit like that.

thats whut i'm looking for.

it seems like anyone can rap nowdays.

anyone can rap about drugs and gangs but if there's no "mentality" behind it there is nothing to the music that makes it special.

theres nothing to go back to to play it over again and really -listen- to whut that person is saying.

POINT BEING.

i'm not gonna say sumone is really that tight if i'm not feelin it.

i got cd's that i don't feel after a while but the ones i go back to.thats whut keeps me buying music.

with the market being flooded by anyone who can ryhme.

it's not cool to waste 17 to 20 dollars on a cd

I feeled ripped of all the time, just with the prices for a Cd, you walk in the store with $20 and leave with like 75 cents. For me the lyrics have to be clever, and the Production has to be clean as fuck for me to get into it.

i almost always feel like i've pissed away $20 after leaving the store and listening to the cd, shit, coulda been a dub of some kill,
i was reading this article, in fact i have it right here, it has things like this in it:

" in the first six months of 2002, CD sells fell off 11 percent-on top of a 3 percent decline the year before. Sales of blank cds jumped over 40 percent while the users of kazaa tripled in number"

it talks about how fast the music industry is collapsing, and i agree, cd prices HAVE to go down to compete with all the people that are burning cd's.
