Shahid Mustafa, outta Chicago. He got some shine back in the Sources Nov/98 Unsigned Hype, cat's been sleepin on him, but he's since had 2 international endependent releases and has a global army of loyalists and fans; from the City of God to the Gaza Strip. Check him out over @ http://www.rapordie.com on that track "Down in Amerikkka" with Complex or get The Movement; and check out "Chicago Politics" & "Red Alert. And watch out for that Shahid Mustafa & Bay-Loc collaboration in the works; Dago's not ready for it. Bay-Loc's another one that Dago's sleeping on right now and he's bringin mega-heat this summer. Like he told you in the Rap or Die DVD, "Killers fuck with Killers"; watch out for that Dulo Gang to Blow !
DJ Quik is not slept on at all, everyone knows who DJ Quik is and Im pretty sure everyone knows who Ras Kass is despite the fact that he was locked up for a while & everyone is still starvin for his new album cuz I bet you all its gonna sell a lot.
Some artists who are really really slept out here are:
Complex: Dude got sum skills fo real, he should some day work wit Ras Kass, Defari, Saafir, Planet Asia, Del & Hiero crew, Zion I etc. since his style can relate to them a lil bit but that dont mean I label him as a backpack rapper tho, hes way more than that...
Also others who are entirely slept on are:

Mastamind & TNT as Natas from Detroit:
surprising is that almost everyone here in Dago has never heard of em nor heard any of their music since their are the pioneers of the underground rap since all the way since late 89'... But recently Esham has gotten a lil bit of exposure when he was signed to Psychopathic (ICP's label) & that helped his sales a lil bit...

Good lookin' out fa sho. I believe the main reason why I'm slept on in Dago is because I don't bang. Out here, you have to be super banged out to have a large fan base or on the other hand, be one of them musty, dusty-ass backpack rappers, that never make any sense (or cents). I definitely plan on working with niggas like Ras, Planet Asia, Hiero and all of them. I like that gangsta shit too though! As long as niggas are creative and make good music, it's lovely. Peace.
