Did anyone see this? I didn't find it amusing or informative...
unless I was a diehard "Whitney" fan!...then maybe. Nonetheless,
I watched the WHOLE THING! Only for the simple fact that I wanted to see what they were leading too. The fact that she may or may not be a cokehead , smoke bud or whatever ...I don't care
Why the publicity? Why now? Is what I kept asking myself. If she wants to fix herself up, she can do it, in private!! pilgramage and all. Then re-emerge and let her personal and spiritual healing speak for itself and HER, through her music. Seems like the camerman was well prepared for the trip too. I watched as she was "cleansed" in the river Jordan. then I started to think ...well... maybe she IS trying to do the right thing. THEN, as the show is ending ...I hear the show's host last comment......
"Whitney is in the studio recording her first Christmas CD"...
Then I wondered if this whole thing was cooked up. 1.Great publicity(Dateline NBC-the whole hour) 2. re-create her Image.
3. Spark the creative process along the spiritual plane. because to sing a christmas song(especially a whole album) the way Whitney probably will, YOU NEED MOTIVATION...a trip to the river Jordan prolly wouldn't hurt one bit IMO. If it's real...then I am happy for her. If not, then it's all bad!! As a sidenote, my moms had some pretty slicc SmokerSkillz-for 15 years. She's a preacher now.

Somebody speak on it!!:devious:

That's a sign of tring too hard. Back in the 50's-70's that might of worked, but not in the 2G's.

Death Row made a sorry ass attempt to stay afloat making a Christmas album right before they hit the ground.

I guess often times artist think they can gain a bigger audience doing a Christmas album, due to the fact that it pertains to everybody (or almost everybody).

My opinion, it's the final attempt to catch that falling star.
