therefore, the record companies think that to the american consumer that "white rappers" are in therefore they will flood the market with white rappers to try and get those same eminem fans to purchase other white artists albums...

I remember reading about ten years ago that fully one half of all rap buyers were White. So I can only imagine what that statistic is today in December 2002. I imagine it's 70% or more. Remember who & where the largest music retailers are at...not L.A. or the Bay...The record companies have discovered that they can sell M&M in every Wal-Mart across the country...and it's more profitable than...well you know. The key word is profit. I won't get into why so many Whites are into M&M...that's a whole 'nother topic itself.

Maybe you didn't understand my post. I already know how the business works playa. What I meant in my post was, it's not just WHITE RAPPERS. Granted, it's pretty much a new thing, but majors aren't just looking for them. If you haven't been paying attention, major record labels are also looking for more Nelly's, more Ja Rule's, and more of whatever is popular, ya know what I'm sayin? I'm not stuck on the "White" aspect of it, I was basically saying, it's not just them that majors are really looking for right now. That's why I said it's not about color, they want POP, PERIOD!!
