Which Version?

Im redoing a piece I did for school
that I'd like to place in my portfolio.....
The new Sun & Cali Map is a great improvement.......
but im having a hard time deciding on
the blending mode on the bac image........
so, just for reference, heres the old 1......
out of the images after this 1st post.......
which should i use?

your mixing warm and cool color pallettes...Thats a no no. Think of the colors you would see in an African Safari. You wouldnt really see blue tones. Or you could use a cool pallette but its more of a "cold" feeling. Warm is the way to go.

I feel ya on the design theory shit......
but i always thought BLUE and ORANGE went together well......]
what would u reccomend that i do 2 even out the palettes?

RE-CHOP ALL THE LAYERS IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO ALREADY. CAUSE THERE'S SOME INSTANCES IN NORMAL THAT LOOK gOOD ON A FEW THANgS THEN THERE'S SOME ON OVERLAY AND LUMINOSITY THAT LOOK gOOD WITHOUT THE OTHER PICTURE BEIN' PART OF IT. FEEL ME? ONE gOOD ONE IS THE LIL BOY UP TOP AND THE SQUIRREL. EITHA BLEND THEM BETTER OR CHOP THEM OFF ALL TYHE WAY.

I got the basic idea of what ure saying EDJ.....
but "rechop" the layers? are u saying my cut outs are sloppy?
cuz i see nuthin wrong em as they are......
and the blending modes lookin good @ different times im foggy on also......
could u explain 2 me a lil better?

WHAT I'M SAYIN' IS TO SEPERATE EVERYTHANg. CAUSE WHEN YOU PUT A BLENDIN' MODE IT AFFECTS THAT WHOLE LAYER. SO WHEN YOU HAVE FOR INSTANCE, THE CHILD AND SQUIRREL TOgETHA, ONE BLENDIN' MODE LOOKS gOOD FOR THE SQUIRREL BUT NOT THAT gREAT FOR THE CHILD AND VICE VERSA. I BELIEVE THEY DON'T BLEND RIgHT, ONLY ON THE NORMAL MODE.

ahhhh.......theyre on seperate layers.....
but the squirrel and the kid next to it
(not the beach or zoo) are part of the same photo......

^TO ME YOU SHOULD SEPERATE THOSE TWO AND BLEND ALL THE CHILDREN TO THE SAME LAYER, EFFECT, MODE, OR WHATEVA IT IS THAT YOU gONNA DO WITH THEM. BUT THAT'S MY 51 CENTS PLAYA. DO WHAT YOU WANT.
