Which one of you "Producers"...

Have a real Musical Backround? Not just "makin' Beats" but actually have the skills to play an instrument? Or read Music?
No arguements, just curious
If so what instruments did you play and for how long?


I used to play the Drums for about 7 years, and am currently learning to play the piano

i dont produce or nothing but i played the clarinet for like 3 years....i actually like playin it it was kinda fun

YES I CAN READ MUSIC. PLAY ARPEGGIOS, LEGATO,PORTA ALL OF THAT. I LEARNED BY BANGING ON A CHURCH PIANO AND I DO MEAN BANGING...... FROM THAT POINT I STARTED TO PLAY AN XP50. A LIL BIT OF GUITAR BUT I LEAVE THAT TO MY BOY SHAD.

they say it takes 10 years to learn an instrument and another 10 years to master it......fuhk i gotta long way to go lol...

yeah technically the "producer" doesn't need to know how to play ANYTHING but an inspiring mouth piece. Cause he isn't the one who makes the music.

In any case i played guitar,little bass,saxaphone, drums... im still teaching myself piano. Need to touch up on it.

Well you all know what I meant, I put producers in Parenthisis.
I was hella High when I made this shit. Itz really directed at everybody that makes beats/songs, wether it be composing or producing, you know.

I played electric guitar for 5 years then dropped it, now i have an organ at home and i want to take some piano lessons. I can't read music and i'm glad about that.
