I am way biased to chocolate labs. We had one named Hershey for 13 years and she was the smartest fucking dog ever. She did the weirdest, most random tricks, and she understood things as if she were human. If I ever get a big dog, it will be a chocolate lab. Her name will be Nestle.

I have a yellow lab. She's helllla smart, plus is a really good family dog. Plus she kills mice, birds, snakes and whatever other animal dare enter my backyard. Shits pretty funny.

.. my cousin had a chocolate lab for years and she was an incredible dog, so smart and so well-mannered but they bought her to breed her, had her papers and documents on her bloodlines.. turned out she had some bone isses due to overbreeding and the vet said she couldnt carry a litter.... as she got older it was one thing after another with her bones... her back, her legs... when she got super over weight they had to put her down because she was in so much pain..
Her papers read Ja-Mocha Almondia Fudge Ferrera.... lol..

See the other thread about my feelings on chocolate labs. Labs are prone to skin problems, and yellows even more due to the lack of melanin or some shit.

Yeah, but you need to give them access to a lot of water, and they love to swim....pool, pond, lake, ocean...show them water and they turn into big ass kids!!

she understands so much english its insane...and knows how to go get things if you point at it and bring it to you

potty trained in the house at 6wks....thats like a week or two from when we got it..

i had a black lab we put down about 10 months ago but that dog was pretty smart. insane how much feelin they got n shit. good hunting dog too, shit was crazy to see him point on pheasants out in the field. really cool dog.
