What is the cause for all these white dudes up on this board getting angry and confused over some racial shit. All of a sudden white people are the victims??? What kind of shit is that?

And I don't understand why all these conservatives are on a RAP board either. It shows me they know nothing of the struggle and fail to understand what hip hop is all about. You guys are phonies, go watch Bill O Reily and stay off the Siccness if you ain't knowin the message in the music. Fuckin posers.

Tends to happen whenever someone brings up whiteness and hip hop. Brings a real fierce backlash from all the so-called white neoliberals on the Siccness. Happened back when Sgt Hustle made a thread about blacks creating hip hop......happened again when EDJ made a thread about so-called "wiggas." There's a lot of resentment brewing... it's at peace when listening to "gangsta rap" but it rises when its called out directly.

tadou, no, whiteness is indeed the problem, but you have to look beyond the surface-level discourse and meanings in order to really get a grasp of it. As far as I can tell, the conceptualizations of racism and whiteness in the vast majority of threads on here are so narrow and limited that it prevents a more profound discussion.

1st off, white people aint the problem, its people who dont know how to talk. Saying some stupid shit like "Blacks are the one's who sold slaves to the whites!"...sort of like saying "Jews jumped in the oven themselves!"...its a half truth. The other half is, there was a gun to their head.......sometimes, people are just idiots, and most of em happen to be white kids who think that once they have 3 black friends and a handfull of rap cd's, that they suddenly know all about the "struggle" and hope to put an end to racism so we can all be equal....Not gonna happen.

2nd, don't speak on conservatism if you don't know what you're talking about. Hip-Hop isn't about liberal hippie, abortion, pot-smoking, tree-hugging bullshit (count the number of rappers who win awards and give praise to God, vs. the ones who dont...real talk). Its about conserving a culture, and a way of life from outside influences...if it wasn't, there'd be 500 other Eminem's by now.

Overall, you're lost. Try again...
I agree, and disagree.

First off I never said white people were the problem, I was asking where these certian dudes all of a sudden came from. Where do they get the nerve. How is a white member of this RAP board gonna tell black people that they should just forget about slavery?

Second, I do agree with you about conserving a culture from outside influences, Ive said that before. But I never said hip hop was about liberal hippie, abortion, tree hugging shit... etc. Your vision of liberalism is skewed to an extreme buddy. So do you mean to tell me that hip hop artists are conservative for the most part because they they give thanks to god? What, a liberal cant believe in God? Please name one rapper that you would consider conservative.

Oh, and as far as me being lost, fuck you.

i'm not saying we should forget about slavery, but what else are we supposed to do?

look at brazil.... they took a stance to forget about slavery, and it worked. there are less differences among the races there than here, and they are the ones that imported the most amount of slaves during the trade.

Understand the way people feel, thats all. It will always be an issue in the black community. If your white, of course you want to just forget about it. White people like to forget a lot of thier history. But when white people start telling black people how they should feel about slavery, thats when there is a problem. Thats some kind of nerve for someone to do that.

And I dont know enough about Brazil to comment on it.

Im just stating my opinions and question a conservative person's motives for being on this board, which in fact is a rap board. This is the Siccness.

And if your a conservative who watches Bill O'Reily and agree with his views, I really would never be able to understand what it is about hip hop that appeals to you.

You say, "I dont wish to be the most knowledgable about the struggle of rap music, I just want to hear the music when it comes out" So Nefar is right, this is just a phase for you, and you will remain a poser.

And you are worse than them white dudes Mclean. Your Mexican! ... oh excuse me, I forgot you consider yourself "American" before Mexican American. Should I call you an "American Mexican"instead?

hmmmm..... explain that to me.

from a liberals point of view conservatives are all about money, power, smuggling drugs in the u.s. via the c.i.a., guns, etc... that the average hip hop album glorifies to the umpteenth degree. why would it be so hard to associate conservatives with hip hop?

i never hear rappers hollering about womens rights or gun control. what about abortion or same sex marriage. sounds to me like you liberals need to listen to barbara streisand or something you pussy ass motherfuckers.

NOT ALL CONSERVATIVES ARE RALPH REED CHRISTIAN FANATICS !!! SOME OF US ARE INDEPENDENT OR MODERATES!!!

i have been listening to Brotha Lynch Hung since 24 deep came out. and X since Psycho Active. that was over 11 years ago, and this is a sacramento based rap board right??? and who were the pioneers of sacramento based rap again???

SO you are implying that conservative people can relate to hip hop more because of guns, CIA drug smuggling, money and power? You share all of these fanboys same shallow observation of rap music. How about why they want power and money? How about the music being used to get to get out of thier situation of guns and drugs? (a situation put upon them by our current gov system) Besides you posers, I want you to name a well known conservative who listens to rap music. You cant name any. Maybe Bill Oreily when he wants to bitch about Ludacris lyrics.

The content isnt always gonna adhere to a liberal agenda, but the music and the culture will always be about the disenfranchised. Which, if you didnt know, are mostly free thinking liberal people. Yall are lost.

And Im still waiting for you guys to come up with a rapper that you would consider a conservative.

like i said i listen to BLH and X. that is the reason i found this board years ago back in the Roloc days. like i said earlier i can care less about the message or ther history of the music, i just want to listen to it.

and at least i dont like like many others on here who claim to be wanting to learn about the music and the stuggles or whatever.

So you been dabbling in rap music for 11 years, want a cookie? It doesnt mean you relate or side with the movement, the message, the music. How are you gonna be against everything these rappers and thier people talk about and stand for, but yet still listen to them and be a fan? I dont get it.

And once again, I still dont understand why you would want seperate yourself from your mexican ancestery. It is something you should be proud about... hell even the white people are proud of thier heritage.

again i never said i relate, actually to the contrary i said i could care less about it. i just want to hear the music. kind of like the dixie chicks, i like thier music but i can care less about their politics, i just want them to as a great writer says"shut up and sing"

if you had half a brain i wouldnt have to type the answer out for you. NO.

i SAID based on the liberals typical view of conservatives we should be able to relate to the music more, based on your logic of course. and with all the hippie tree hugging fags that represent the liberal spectrum how can you listen to music that GLAMOURIZES guns, violence, mysoginy, money at all cost, power and respect? isnt that what you accuse the conservatives of being guilty of?

again im using your logic, not mine.

And that is your view of what liberalism is? I guess we know who really has half a brain, genius.

And by the way, try looking at the music and musicians with a little more depth, maybe you'll get a clue. Money, power and respect is what minorities strive for in the postion of being forever the underclass. Take notes junior.

Obviously you don't listen to hip-hop.
