WHEN I RECORD MY VERSES THEY ARE OFF BEAT I DUNNO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS...

now i have a condenser mic, and a yamaha mg10/2 mixer i tried on cool edit and acid pro...
but i'll spit a verse and when i play it back its not how i recorded it there's a lil bit of delay...
do y'all know what tha problem is? i was told it may be tha buffering n latency i dont know shit about that tho or at least how to adjust it... but i think it might be sumthin wit tha mixer. i exchanged my sound card for a new one so that aint it and i've tried different p.c.'s

It's latency man. I went to the dentist today and I'm to tired to give an in depth response. It's common to experience latency when using a mixer but I think its within your app.

You probably have your buffer set too high in your case. You want to have your buffer set high enough to avoid dropouts in audio but low enough as to not have latency issues or sync problems as in your case.

can u help me out on what to set what to... i fuckin took forever to at least find tha options to adjust em i dunno what to set em to tho i'll keep searchin thanx to whoever can show me sumthin if you can gimme a screen sht of your settings... man heresy snap out that dam toothache my album is @ stake here ...lol :devious:

its also kinda weird because tha las time i recorded b4 i did not have this problem it jus popped up recently.

Try setting the "recording buffer" to 1 second instead of 2. Try lowering the buffers also. But remember your previous settings in case it does more harm than good.

The buffer settings 22sleepy415 is telling you to change have nothing to do with your problem. Also, audio interface buffer settings are usually accessed thru the control panel for whatever device you have. That's where you need to look.

What sound card do you have? imo its going to come down to adjusting the properties from the sound cards mixer settings AND from within the app.

Uninstall Cool Edit and go get Adobe Audition 1.5(formerly Cool Edit) it should automatically configure with your current hardwarE. If you don't want to do that. uninstall and reinstall your current app over your new hardware. DISCLAIMER: JUST A QUICK FIX GUESS!

I'm sure it's your soundcard and not the software, but check and see if a reverb or delay isn't on your effects rack, it happens sometimes in Cool Edit Pro.
