HE WROTE THIS LETTER A WHILES BACK TO HIS FANS
Letter from SPM
What’s up raza?
When this letter reaches you I pray that you and your family are in the best of health and spirits. As for me, I’m just working on a book called Hustle Town and keeping my head up. This system is trying to stop this movement, but their efforts will crumble.
They teamed up with a family I have known for almost 20 years. A family I thought were my friends. Together they tried to destroy a man's dream to help his people, but they only showed the fear they have of us. For those of you that believe what they say, believe that I would hurt a child or believe I would ruin everything I worked so hard for, then you don’t know me and you were obviously never down with me anyway. But I forgive you and my prayers are with you. Everything I do is for our children’s future. They even tried to say that I was setting up my own daughter for an assault. Just because I bite on her arms and shoulders in a playful way, they said I was preparing to do the unthinkable. I was so furious that I couldn’t hold back my tears.
These miserable, hateful people will only bring awareness to the silent attack that our people are under. There is a reason why you don’t see our raza on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, MTV, and other American channels. There is a reason why you don’t hear our raza on American radio. There is a reason why you don’t see our raza playing professional sports. It’s not because we are not talented. Don’t never believe that. But our most gifted and talented people are filling up caskets and penitentiaries. Our self-esteems are so low, from not seeing our own kind in a positive reflection, that it leads us down a road to destruction.
We are the fastest growing race in America and that scares them. Instead of accepting us they deny us. I never knew how serious it was until nine whites and three blacks gave an innocent man forty-five years. But I appealed their decision and I will win.
No disrespect to anybody, I love all nationalities. But the prejudice people are the ones I speak of. With not one trace of evidence and people who we proved were lying, they still insisted on finding me guilty. Being prejudice of someone only means being scared of him. Being scared of the power he has to help his community. The power to keep the youth out of prisons and give them a brighter future. But now that I’m in here my eyes have whitened, my mind has cleared, and my body is healthy. I will be even more effective in seeing that we rise above all of this, besides, the truth will soon come out.
God knows the truth and with him on our side who can be against us. If you have a friend our relative who is incarcerated, please tell them to write me. I love you and always keep God first. I don’t want no one to feel sad about what’s happening because I am still alive and the more they hate on us, the stronger we shall become, I promise.
