Master P music sucks

Master P should have a double MBA Degree, the way he worked the music busniess, and contracts in his favor.

Master P left the bay

Master P would not of made Millions of Dollars if he stayed in the Bay

Master P is a fag

Master P is a fag with more money then we'll ever see

respect that... peace

Well, you can't fault him as a businessman--the N.O. wasn't exactly the Rap capitol of the world back in '93, so, playing devil's advocate, P did what he had to do. He went someplace where Rap WAS happening and capitalized, then he moved back to the N.O. around '97 (by which time the South had its' foot in the door commercially).

He did introduce a lot of folks to some of the Bay's best through his first two WEST COAST BAD BOYZ CDs, and you can't take that away from him. The thing that fucked him up was when he started paying too much attention to trying to play basketball and shilling for the WCW and shit--Wendy Day talked about this in an interview I read online, and she said that when P was still devoting his full attention to running NL, they were cool, but when he stopped, THAT was when the finances and shit got out of whack (around late '98/early '99).

As for P as a rapper: he wasn't the most clever lyricist in terms of rhymes even during the '93/'96 period, but his flow itself was actually good (at times) on THE GHETTO'S TRYIN' TO KILL ME and 99 WAYZ TO DIE, IMHO. From MP DA LOST DON and on, though, he sounded like he had too much $$$ to keep trying anymore (and he probably did. LOL)! Just my view, though...

PEACE!

He had NO REASON to rep his "Roots" in the Bay, he wasn't FROM the Bay. He didn't get his GAME from the Bay, he had an idea before he even got to Richmond. What was his idea? Open NO LIMIT RECORDS, the music store, and make himself some cash, which he did. He went back home with his idea of a record label...what happened? He made MILLIONS. I don't care if dude fell off 8 years ago or 50 years ago, he made his money, people need to leave him alone. He REPPED Richmond when he wasn't even from there, that to me is respect enough, because he knows he spent time there and made money there.

there was a period of time that bought like all their shit for like 2 years. I liked beats by the pound, It just hella erked me seeing P sell out left and right by selling little ken dolls of himself in cammies and shit. I live in New Orleans though and he still gets hella radio play down here, drives me nuts!

i think his decision to run away from the bay ON HIS OWN was a bad idea. He shoulda carried on networkin wit bay folks cos he knew there was talent... He's a bitch for leavin em high and dry, thats disrespectful and selfish. Basically if he woulda put sumthin into it he woulda got a great deal more back. He lost a lot of business and friends doing what he did in the WAY that he did it. Damn you can relocate, make mills and still be cool wit your road dawgs ya feel.

I dunno though, cos he exposed a lot of artists from the bay, so he did do favours, at what price though? When he left, not even a ghost of no limit remained...

He's coming back with Ghetto Bill later this year....
I think he's one of the best rappers/ceo's to ever hit the game, that's why no other is hated as much.

You know you're succesful when everyone else hates you....

As a person, I think he's all about business...whatever makes money is cool by him...he really don't give a fuck what he puts out...as long as he know it'll make money...I had the chance to meet and work with him and he isn't exactly the friendliest guy..he's more about business then anything else..

Material wise his best shit to date IMO is Ghetto's Tryin To Kill Me and WCBB......He really put the Bay on the map with that compilation....after he moved to the south, aside from a few hits here and there....most of that No Limit roster sounded like garbage....like that shit was done in a day or something...

I like rappers like 40, Quinn, Cellski.....artists who are friendly and approachable from a fan's standpoint....I don't care too much for artists who act stuck up and think they are the shit...I met a few like that and I no longer support anything they put out anymore....
