YUK's three solos all have different vibes. He comes more hardcore on here and IT AIN'T KNOW COMMERCIAL FEEL to this album. Whoever said that didn't listen to it right. The song "GODZILLA" is off the richter. Once you get it, keep playing over and over b4 you judge it.
No offense, but you didnt listen to it right man. if you dont call this commercial at all (at least for yuks standards) than you have no idea what commercial is. the first 13 tracks give or take two or three are all songs you would either hear on the radio or in a club and that is REAL TALK. it is still tight as fuck and I feel you on the godzilla song, but the only way to describe the album is COMMERCIAL!!!!

think about what u see on BET/MTV, you get flooded with multiplatinum artists, and some platinum, u barely see gold album singles on there, they just dont have the time to play everything, they gotta play the best of the best, basically the top 20 nationwide charts....NATIONWIDE is a big word

overall its a tight album, but not as good as thug lord in my opinion...

i agree with the commercial feel to the album tho - anyone notice the "fad" tracks, i.e. what types of tracks that are hot now?

stuntastik = flossing, rick rockish type track

be easy = indian singing track

what it do = southern crunk track

anyone feel me?

Yeah, I feel ya on that--still, "commercial" doesn't always mean "wack", and for what it is, it's dope--if Yuk had to make a more commercially-friendly CD, at least he did it the best way he could under the circumstances (although I suspect that Rap-A-Lot probably pressured him to an extent. Once you've signed your John Hancock, the record company's basically got you by your nutsack. Can they refuse to put out your CD if you don't put radio songs on it? You bet).

It reminds me a little of when San Quinn did THE MIGHTY QUINN, and a lot of folks in 2001 complained that it was "boo boo," but it holds up better today...I wouldn't put it in the same class as LIVE-N-DIRECT or THE HUSTLE CONTINUES, but it's cool. That could end up being the story with this new Yuk CD a couple years down the line. PEACE!
