I drove to Arizona with my family way back in the day, but it wasn't a straight drive, we stopped a few times and got a hotel and all that... so it was over a few days

the furthest straight drive was to Mexico... I've done that 3 times

the second and third time we left in the middle of the night so we beat traffic and got there in about 7 hours... but the first time we left on Friday at 11 am... so we got the worst of LA traffic... took us about 12 hours total

Bay Area to Vancouver twice and Bay Area to Pheonix once.

Both drives took roughly the same amount of time, and both drives were ridiculously gay.


Pick your poison. Stare at never ending trees for hours and hours, or never ending sand and cacti.



But the drive to Vancouver was slightly better, cuz at least there was rivers and other changes of scenery here and there. The drive to Pheonix was straight hell.

New Orleans to the bay area, stopped outside of san antonio, wilcox az and my grandmas house in phoenix on the way though to sleep. done the bay to phoenix trip back and fourth like 3 times without stopping, thats a mainey drove if you straight shot it, nothing to see especially on the I5

Yea that shit starts playing with your mind when you see the same shit over and over for like 10 hours. Nothing but dry desert for 10 hours.



I dunno how those truck drivers do it.
