whats the best way to go for more storage (or another HD)

i wanna take all my music and store it to an external HD...anyone know a cheap, reliable brand and model......and also, how easy are they to use????????.......and once i connect to my comp, can i then connect and use the media on it to another comp (ie laptop)........anyone with info on that shit?

you should be able to move it to another if its a external hard drive. im not sure tho. they are pretty easy to use.

HD's are mostly plug n play....

THe whole point of a external HD is so you can move it from PC to PC...Laptop or whatnot....

It connects via USB....

And any brand will do...i personally would go with somethin like Sony...but they are a bit pricy....so just do some shoppin around...ONLINE preferably...

i have a mac & a lot of my stuff is tored on a lacie... (music, video files, etc) becuase i ran out of space on my hd.


they're not hard to use. you just plug it in to the right port (look @ the instructions) and then you will see the external as an icon on your desktop, & you can just drag files into it. no problems. just make sure to eject it before you unplug it.

doesnt just about everything use 2.0 now?? its much faster than 1.1

get a firewire drive if you have fw its a lot faster than usb...but any brand is cool. cheap brands but reliable would probably be like seagate, or western digital. the best are lacie though i think.
