I don't know if you fuck with Atmosphere, but the new joint 'God loves ugly' is some real peaceful positive rap shit but is knockin for real. that cat Slug got some incredibly introspective lyrics, you do not hear the subjects he talks about too often in hip hop. give that shit a quick listen & see what you think.

from what i know atmosphere is basically a collective of mc's & dj's. this cat was tellin me that their early shit was released in europe or some shit. i've heard cuts from older albums but never seen any of em for sale.

the newest album is God loves ugly. it came out a couple months ago, nothing but some good vibe shit that speaks to the soul.

Atmosphere is a group consisting of Slug (emcee) and Ant (producer). They've got quite a few albums. I own a few (Se7ens, Lucy Ford, Overcast, and God Loves Ugly), and highly recommend Lucy Ford, Overcast, and God Loves Ugly. Each one has some great material, but none are what I would consider "classics." BE ADVISED that unless you are familiar with their material, it may not be the easiest thing to get used to. They're definitely on some "other shit" to say the least. I'd listen to snippets at cdnow.com or towerrecords.com first to get a feel first.

Atmosphere got some knockers, my friend played some of that God Loves Ugly and i was hella feeling it. He got some tight raps bout differnt shit, not the same raps you hear from everyone.

Pick up the Grouch And Eligh Album called G&E Music, thats a real tight CD, laid back hip-hop with a positive feel.

Devins first CD "The Dude" is REAL NICE....
