I seriously dont see anything special about this game.. Sure it was fun back in the day, but it hasnt changed.. And for me, thats a bad thing.. If i wanted to play the same game i'd jus whip out my N64 and play it.. I tried playin with the WII-Mote, and all i could do was one or two different attacks, so i thought it was the WII-mote that was limiting me.. So i bought a game cube controller, hopeing that the game would be much more funner and have a few more moves in it.. and it didnt.. Do i jus not get the controls? I know pressing A or whatever does a few different attacks, and i know using the top bottuns does one more attack.. And the joystick does the same attacks as A.. But thats it.. You dont got anymore stuff you can do.. Its like a candy-coated bottun smasher.. I'm seriously disapointed, i really wanted to love this game, but i cant.. It seems way too dumbed down.

Ima jus sale it back to gamestop for $20-30 or w/e.. Waste of time and money.

i dont understand what people expected from this game. for it to be tekken with nintendo chars?. OF COURSE its the same game, why would they change the formula that made it popular?

do you want mario kart to be like gran turismo too?

C'mon now.. Its next-gen, ofcourse people expected a little something more done with it.. If anything its more dumbed down then the first one, i remember being able to use mroe then 1-2 bottuns on the N64 version to attack.

you remember incorrectly

there has always just been one button for normal attack and one button for a special attack

and just so you know,i could care less about smash bros, not my kinda game, but just surprised on how people perceived this game before it came out

They preceived it to be a next gen game.. Sorta like Half Life 2, it's not exactly like Half Life 1.. KOTOR 1's not exactly like KOTOR2.. Grand Theft Auto 4's not exactly like GTA3.. Sequels are suppose to bring something new to the table that the first ones didnt have, and not jus new maps and characters.. And i dont remember the N64 version having a "special" attack..

Anyways, the game shoulda atleast offer 3 different attacks.. I hate jus jumping jumping slash jumping jumping slash.... I seriously coulda played the N64 version and prolly had a better time..

People change overtime, thats why this game isnt fun for most of us anymore.. I think games should change along with the people.

And i dont remember the N64 version having a "special" attack...
lets say you were mario. A button was your punches, and B was your "special"(fireball, uppercut, etc.) those have always been the 2 main attack buttons

what about the people that never even played the n64 version? you have to remember that there is a whole new generation of gamers that need "dumbed down" games the same way we did when the first smash bros. came out. if they continue to advance their games, they are going to alienate nintendo's core audience, which is kids.

I guess you're right.. Nintendo is trying to make this whole casual gaming their core franchise.. I know the game was meant for kids, but a lot of the true SSBB fans like myself were really disapointed.. I hope Nintendo knows they are losing older fans like myself.. But hell, you cant really blame them, the casual games take half the time and half the money and they make 2x more then regular games usually do..

Im just afraid i bought my WII for nothing.. Cuz i will not be buying anymore "classic" games that are dumbed down, and i defantly wont be buying any "casual" games either..

brawl is dope when you get high or drink and got people to play with, but it does get kinda boring when the same person wins everygame though. ima trade mine in with galaxy and get mario kart wii for 9.99$
