For any peeps from LA, anyone heard of B-Down and his independent label Rap Junkie Records??? I used to listen to that guy and his other fools he got. I remember the last releases from his label were Independent Game Vol. 2 and MC Unique who is a hip-hop lyricist from England. Funny huh?? I used to listen to this guy though. Ever since I havent seen any releases nor his previous ones poppin at any record store. I only have his last two solo albums; RAP TACTICS & WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES, which were pretty good. I really liked RAP TACTICS the most cuz to me its an underground classic!!! But, anyone know any info about what hes doing currently, what happened to him and it seems hes supposed to drop another joint by now???

What-up folks,

I just registered and came across this old thread. To clear things up, I took a break on new releases for a little bit because of problems with a couple distributors. I'm working on a new solo album now, as well as a new Independent Game compilation (Volume 3), and will probably release both early next year. You can check out the previous albums and other tracks at http://www.RapJunkie.com

Peace,

Thanks... looks like there's a whole lot going on in here... I had peeped it before but hadn't taken the time to register - was on RapTalk.net for a long time though. Anyways, yeah it's been almost 3 years since I dropped the "Welcome To Los Angeles" album, and that's because I dropped two others at the same time (Independent Game, Vol. 2 & MC Unique's album) and Southwest Wholesale wasted a lotta time on the releases, didn't pay up for sales, and then filed for bankruptcy. To make a long story short, be VERY careful with any independent distributors. The next album is gonna be real cool... I've already got several tracks done... and I'm gonna keep folks posted on the progress through the site at http://www.RapJunkie.com

By the way, I also put a track up there last week that I did with Big Rags about the government's slow response to the Hurricane Katrina disaster... that one is available for download/stream (it's called "Katrina").

Holler whenever.
