Its just interesting to see when people talk about the good ol days of Bay Area rap there is always a different starting point and a different ending point. What chunk of years do you consider the "Golden Age,"what album set off the Golden Age, which album was the end.

Ima say the Bay's Golden Age was from 93-98

RBL's Lesson To Be Learned set it off (even though it came out in 92, fools really started bumpin it in early 93)

and Messy Marv & San Quinn "Explosive Mode" put a cap on it in 98.

mang to me the golden years are still goin on just progressin...what i mean iz that to me it started with too $hort and iz still goin on with the so called "new bay"....i support both but i think what you're talkin about iz the time when the ol skool artists seperated from the new skool.....the thing iz that some of tha ol skool artists are still puttin it down (ie.too short,e=40,messy marv, san quinn, black c,taydatay,n2deep,the list goes on & on & on an)...but if i gotta go with years i guess to me imo the "golden years would be anything before 97'...no disrepect to anyone after that it's just that the ??? was posed as to which would "you" consider the golden age"...bay luv all day mang!!! :siccness:

93-97 you had classics not only the beats and lyrics but the bay had quality artist not with hella features just good quality mobb music, and even club shit like hammer, too short,seagram,415,imp,rbl posse,11-5,san quinn ,mac mall,jt,ray luv, tay,bo,pizzo, marva, lynch, richie rich, ant banks, poohman, paris, concious daughters,k-cloud,tony b,freedy b,plan b,digital underground,pac,4 tay,mc ant, goldie,j dubb, gangsta p,kzo, master p, sean t,papoose, decco d,messy, the godfather e feezy, celly cel,,the click, and many more the new bay is comin up fast and will find a new sound and take it bigger but its going to take a group or artist who is willing to build his name on his own merits first then do collabarations with other well know artists, i like some of the new shit but most of all the old shit just because of the quality beats with real basslines from instruments, and its anolog not all digital and clean everybody beats sound the same now computer generated the sound is to plastic, the new lables need to build careers not one hit wonders.......
