There's no doubt in my mind I wouldn't hold that against him. I would urge him to repent as soon as possible. And if he didn't that's between him and God. I would leave my kids with him if I had kids. I wouldn't be worried about him touching them. But remember I feel this way because of the respectful, loving, and honorable father that I have. If this person doesn't feel this way about his father then it's a different story.

That is some real sick shit, dont get me wrong. I guess it depends on the situation...If this old man your speaking of still seems like a shady character and a low life, then I dont know how I would handle it. Its a very touchy subjuct here, for one your talking about his father, his blood, and second, were talking about one of the worst crimes that can be committed.

I guess it really comes down to, if the father is a changed man. I mean, 25-30 years is a long time. If you seriously think he changed a lot since then, then he is to be forgiven. But like I said, if he still is a shady character, I dont think you can forgive OR trust him.

ya 20sixx.....but most pedophiles(almost all)have done it more than once,wether it was before or after the time he got caught for it, so chances are its on his mind when he sees other little kids.....my thing is i like to smoke weed and drink but if i have terms of my probation that dont allow me to smoke or drink it doesnt mean i dont have the urge to do it just because im not suppose to.....

the destruction of innocents is the single greatest evil thing in the world. rapists should be shot and killed after trial or put in jail for life without the possibility of parole. every family has a chester... we disowned ours. everytime i see that piece of shit it makes me want to murder his ass... the fact that he took a childs innocents away and forced her to live life knowing she got raped by a sick bastard sickens me to the point where i will always be on watch for my children. parents don't watch for that shit like they should. i will, there should be no tolerance for chesters. if something ever happens to anyone of my family members, i will finish the job if the government doesn't and I ain't afraid to pay for it for the rest of my life... there are some things worth fighting for and innocents is one of them. now ya'll know how I feel.

the fact that this doods gotten away with it for 30 years and hasen't done it again suggests that he's sorry for his actions. was he convicted? or was there just an accusation? people block shit out, so if he really did do it, he blocked it out because he can't live with himself knowing he did that shit. when people are sorry, they ask god for forgiveness even if they don't believe, and then they block it out so they can't remember it. that's just the way we people are.

He prolly couldnt tell anyone about it cause he never felt he was able to. Sometimes if you tell anyone at all, its someone you love and trust. And if he tells you, be glad he did. Cause it means a lot for him to tell this to you and if you get all pissed off at him, or disrespect him for it, your gonna make it worse for him cause YOU FUCKED UP by being disrespectful.
