To the Siccness.....What rap artist to u had so much talent, so much potential, had all the skills in the world to take over the rap game and for whatever reason whether it be incarceration, bad record deals preventing them from releasing an album, quitting the rap game early, fuckin up their own chances at making it or any other reason never fullfilled his/her potential and with with all the skills career went down the drain before it could take off.....

These are the artist I think had it all as far as skill but career was cut short.

D.O.C......I still sit back and wonder what would of came of this dudes career.....Still IMO one of the coldest cats to ever touch a mic......Had A1 lyrical ability, a tight flow and versatility thru the roof

Sicx.....I mean what else can be said about this dude......He ruined his chances of puttin out great music even after developing a cult following.

Rappin Ron.....One of the illest freestylers ever......Never got a chance to really do what he could do....Will always be an underground Bay legend....I'm not going to say he wasted his talent but he barely got a shot at the rap game before he passed

Gangsta Ern....Great potential.....Some niggaz is just too gangsta for the rap game.

Black Rhino......Crazy 8 a suoer tight producer and D-Cal wit a unbelievable flow and they had awsome chemistry......Fucked around doing business with Lorenzo Green Eyes and thats all she wrote.

Lady Of Rage......Had the skills to put any bitch in her place and her career slows down and just stops.....She's a way better rapper the actor although the acting money is better

Crooked I......Put out a gotdam album already!!

BG Knocc Out.....One CD in 15 years aint cuttin it despite goin to prison for hella years.

Don Diego......One of the rising stars in modern underground gangsta rap......Lived the shit he talked about.....I still got two of his songs on my Myspace playlist.....Major potential on the mic and major street cred.....If he don't pull off an X-Raided up in prison then his vocals on the next Cherry Chuck Gang will be all we ever hear from the Don D. ever again.

I agree with the DOC, he could have been so big. I think he could have been what Snoop became if it wasnt for losing his voice...

I agree with most of the people Evil Genius posted, and I will add Seagram to the list. One of the realest rappers ever along with C-Bo, and you know he would have kept comin' with that fire....

Also Mr. Cee was a great rapper that had his career ended WAY too soon by senseless violence. RBL was never the same without him... Hitman was good, no disrespect to him but IMO he could never touch Mr. Cee.

Also lemme add Yungstar; now I hear that boy is coming out w/ a new freestyle CD, but he should've stopped fucking with sherm, lean, whatever because he had / has talent

LASTLY, Big Lurch. That boy came tight whenever and with CSS he was unstoppable. It's fucked up what happened just like with Sicx because dude was unique with the spits and the hooks.

I guess the lesson is... don't smoke wet

hahaha

Kurupt - what the hell happened to this guy? He was putting out some QUALITY solos. Strreetz is a Mutha is a 5 star classic to me and Space Boogie isn't far behind. His first effort Kuruption wasn't classic but was pretty good. Then he really fell the fuck off. Nothing he's came out with in the last 4 years has came anywhere near that.

I don't know how i could of forgot Big Lurch.....Man that dude got so mucg heat its pathetic....Its a damn shame.

I wouldn't say Raided cuz he's still releasing music and qaulity shit at that....So he gets a pass.

Seagram did pop up in my head but i just so happen to not add him....That boy had major talent.

Gangsta P is another guy who had skills that were undeniable and a super tight flow.

also tonedeff.. hes had a mildly successful career, but with the amount of talent dude possesses, he should be up there with jay-z, lil wayne...

Crooked I of course....if he ever puts out an album tho i think he'll do some good numbers even tho mutha fuccaz been waitin on his shit as long as they been waitin on a new Lynch solo....

i would add prolly The Twinz that use to fucc wit Warren G....i thought they coulda been tha dopest shit out when that G Funk was real popular cuz the flow they each brought was so fluid and their music had a lot of mainstream appeal....their album was dope but they never released anything after that that i know of....

Crooked I didnt waste his talent....he just never put an album out. His mixtapes and hhw's are sicker than any album anybody else has put out anyway....I dont need to hear an album with watered down mainstream subject matter. Keep puttin out mixtapes and rap about real shit.......and co-sign with whoever said Mr. Cee, the first 2 RBL albums are the definition of "Classic".

Gangsta P was ill...

I'ma have to go out on a limb and think that X's situation may have made him a better rapper...

He may had a similar evolution had he not been locked up - but we'll never know...

EDIT: Fillyacup already touched on that... lol

Gangsta Ern f'sho...

I'll actually agree with what everbody has said so far... Lynch especially...

Hmmmm... let me think of a few that haven't been mentioned...

Big L: probly would've kept other Harlem rappers from switchin' up...

Locc 2da Brain: damn... that's all I can say

007 Goon Squad from 7 Trees - they unreleased shit went stupid hard, but they couldn't stay outta prison...

Playboy Chill and Sic Side Mobb - they had a dope comp back in the day that had folks checkin for Seaside...

Jay Capone: was dope... not sayin' he was a waste but he had some good talent...

Oh yeah, one more X to the list: Askari X - brother hella gifted but the everday struggles can pull even the strongest of us down...

Can't really say any of these talents were a waste, though... It's an accomplishment enough to get a an album out... but I understand the context in which the word 'wasted' is being used...

I will say that I have a few folks I came up with that definitely wasted their talents to the point that their names aren't even worth mentioning...
