I guess I'm talking more about baseball because it is one of two sports I actually follow, but I guess it could be for any sport. It seems like besides the World Series, the most exciting time of the baseball season is the trading deadline and which player is going to go to which team. It is rare for players to stay on a team longer than 4 years. About the only player I can think of off the top of my head who has stayed with the same team his whole career is Chipper Jones. So what uniform will these future Hall of Famers be pictured in? Like Manny Ramirez, who will most likely go in for the amount of home runs he will have at the end of his career. Will there be a picture of him wearing a Red Sox hat, Dodgers jersey, and Indians pants and socks? What ever happened to loyalty? It seems like a lot of these players just want to go to whoever offers the most money. But really, is the difference between $4 million a year and $2 million dollars a year going to hurt your checkbook that much? Pay me $50,000 a year and I'll work 10 times harder than anyone you have out there.
