What program can i download to convert my songs on cd to a mp3 format?

Im trying to toss a few of my songs on soundclick. is there a way to convert them from cd to an mp3 format where they can listen to my songs , but at the same time not be able to download my tracks for burning purposes?? if anyone has sum info please let me knoe. thank you..

its damn near impossible for you to prevent people from downloading your shit from sites like Soundclick...i figured out how to do it a while ago...but you can use one of the following programs to convert you tracks to MP3...Streambox Ripper (http://streamboxripper.cjb.net/) or Music Match (http://www.musicmatch.com/)...you can also find a lot more programs online...try one of those or try searching for one at http://www.download.com/...

ANY audio that can be heard, can be ripped. There is no way to keep people from ripping your audio (if they choose to) other than not making it available for listening.

To convert cdda/wav to mp3, I recommend using LAME. It's pretty much the best mp3 encoding engine around.
