What PC's/Macs are in your settup?

I know this question has been asked before, but if yall are anything like me your constantly upgrading/changing shit around... so what are yall usin at the heart of your settup??

currently i got a quad core settup with two amd opteron 2212's (waitin on the amd barcelonas to make it a 8 core settup)

4 gb's of ram, finna install the other 4 tomorrow if the package comes on time,

two displays (only using one cause of my desk right now),

main hd is a 74 gb raptor with 4 other storage drives ranging from 80 to 200 gb, and 2 external 500gbs for back ups..

that settup runs LE like a champ, but i aint tested it with the hd settup yet,.. i prolly will put a completly different pc together for the hd settup cause ive heard of people havin problems with quad core pcs and hd settups..

So you went ahead and got the HD system? You were putting that off for some time. I run a single core amd system (2.2ghz) with a gig of ram, 2 7200 WD drives (200gb each), and 2 external fire wire drives (one is 160gigs, don't know how much teh other is haven't really used it.)

I'll probably switch two a quad six months from now, but I my system is stable as hell so I'm good.

Yeah I heresy I finnaly said fuck it... but I almost feel like I don't need it now for anything other then show cause I can get results as good or better with my pc LE settup right now.. Cause I never come close to using all 48 tracks and I can put compressors eqs verbs and delays on each track if I want and still run smooth so I'm satisfied

I told you that you werent going to need it fam. If you aren't recording ensebles, don't need word clock and have no use for 5.1 it is over kill. Id rather have an LE system and $9,000 racks of outboard gear than a $10k hd system. But you'll be able to use it to your advantage because you can advertise the fact that you aren't limited in your track count (if you ever decide to open the doors to the public.)
