What music artist do you check for nowadays?

I don't listen to much new shit.....besides Celly Ru and Mozzy. I don't find many others artists from today very appealing music wise. The "beefs" we see today through social media are just stupid in my opinion, I deleted my instagram and twitter months ago and it's probably the best decision I've made.
But Ru is so dope to me, I have "The Tonite Show with Celly Ru" CD that he did with DJ Fresh and I can listen all the way through and enjoy all 12 tracks. He isn't discussed much on here but he's probably my favorite artist in today's era.
Also enjoy (occasionally) checking out the OGs still in the game, E-40 drops some heat every once in a while but the majority is just me listening to old shit. The music ain't the same nowadays.

I don’t really check for many artist nowadays. Mozzy and Nipsey are probably the only ones. Occasionally, E-40 will drop a dope track or two but like stated above the music just isn’t the same nowadays. All the old shit still gets slapped like it all just released.

As mentioned above, I dont check for anyones music anymore. If it happens to pop up on IG or on here I might give it a listen but its usually trash or sub par. Mainstream really killed rap over the last few years. Mozzy and lav keep it somewhat going for gangsta rap but thats about it. Even the older rappers who I grew up on are inconsistent and changing their style trying to blend in and it ain't working for them.

I stay up on new music regardless of the quality compared to classics of the past. You cant let garbage rap completely tune out all the young brothers that have some shit to say. You just gotta find the energy to sift through the garbage to find the gold.... Or maybe just be desperate ha!
