What makes a hero?

Every time I turn on the TV they keep talking about some bitch who got injured in Iraq and how she is such a hero. Why is this broad a hero? Because she got injured? So if I joined the military, got sent to Iraq and got shot because I was foolish, would that make me a hero?

Those tv reporters need to just leave the girl alone.....I dont know about calling her a hero maybe thats just the presidents words for her to make her feel better, but all she is, is a lucky soldier .

its good PR to call HER a hero.

me personally i think that that word gets thrown around to much.

to me for a soldier to be called a hero he/she would have to either die for his/her country fighting valiently

or

go out of his/her way to try and save some1 else without regaurd to his/her own life and survive.
