I ain't hatin' on Jeezy cause I like his music. But how is what he rappin' bout different than what Mitch is rappin' bout, and Mitch is still having a hard time getting the props he deserves. And not only that but all these niggaz from down south and back east haven't had to survive bangin' and tryin' to hustle at the sametime. All I'm sayin' is that Mitch has had to overcome alot more in the streets then these cats who claim to be so real. And his music to me would make a much bigger impact only if it was given a chance by these major labels or indie's like Koch.

What do ya'll think ?

I actually digg Young Jeezy, and been slappin thug for about 2 years.... But to reply to the question, have u ever been down south? Have u seen how they support their own local artist? Young Jeezy sold over 200,000 copies of his mixtape Trap or Die! And it's not that "Gang bangin aspect" Jeezy's crippin. I think it's that Dago/ the entire Westcoast doesnt supprt thier own "independent/ local artist" like the south does. If we did there would be a list of artist from Dago the Bay and LA wit major deals, Mitchy/ Messy Marv/ Mob Figaz and many more...

too much ego trippin and too many excuses.
like ecay said a few motnhs ago on here, we need to pick one artist and just put all our support behind them. but i mean it takes alot of effort from all areas: radio and the clubs...
i was in the bay 3 weeks ago, and you be hearin mac dre, turf talk, e-40, mistah fab, the team, ya boy, keak and many more all the time in the club and on the radio, so why can't san diego be like that?

i think it has alot to do with promotion. the city picking one artist isnt the way to do things, no other city has just choose one local artist to support, & whos to even say that artist is gonna help anyone from here out? you need to bombard the city with promotion. freeway billboards, bus stops, also, do the thug thing & staple posters to trees & poles & so forth.

Jeezy has a street team with dudes who do promotion for him full-time. even my lable has full time promotion. we have shirts we constantly wear, which grabs peoples attention & gets their eyes & ears open. i have NEVER seen dudes slanging Mitchy shirts, or cds or nothing except for music trader & fam bam. ive seen some posters... but again......... only in fam bam. thing is, if hes only putting up posters & promotional shit there, its retarded. people who shop there have obviously heard of dude, so whats the use of promoting an album in an area that everyone there already knows about? Mitchy could sell alot more if he promoted other spots. other spots in DAGO & other cities/states. also, i think his music needs to be better. im not hating on dude, but out of everything ive heard from him, only "HOE CAKE" is catchy enough to have black/white/brown/yellow/male/female/kids/grown-folks could all bump & enjoy. now that doesnt mean change his concepts. just say stuff, well...different.

Again its all about support and picking one artist well first that aint gonna happen, and it aint a good idea, I think mitch is probably doin the right thing, Its hard to get the right deal as a westcoast artist right now, we dont cater to the dancefloor except ice cube who once again is switchin up and partnering up with lil jon.It aint the same no more wher you just poor your heart and soul into the project and it sells, you have to target a certain demographics, age ,etc, There are to many egos in dago and when fans reach out and give opinions they get the you hatin speach, also there is to much focus on dago being put on the map or resurrectin the west, make some hot music and let it do what it do right now we tryin to feed to the masses (mainstream) the westcoast sound ( wich is meat) and they vegeterians listenin to lil jon all bread no meat.So in the meantime lets creat our own lil world and support our people and make our own rules
