A classic is firstly a untemporal shit, a cd you can bump in 10 years and you still like it. It's a shit which make you feeling some emotions, you can feel the blunt behind the rhymes, the anger, the hate, the realness, it creates an atmosphere,a whole package with classic prod and big time lyrics.

My classics of all time :
Marv mitch and lemay "livin in tha stange"
IMP "ill mannered playas"
Young ed "time to stack"
deco d 'the soul taker"

A classic for me is something you bump like crazy once you get it, you forget about it for a while, get caught up on another disc/s and then you spot it in your collection and decide to bump it and you start feeling it again and bump it like crazy for another few months, the cycle continues...

And who cares about what other people think, if its a classic to you then it is probably a classic to somebody else and to every 1 person who finds it a classic there will be 10 people talking shit about it...

That Chino XL, I told you so is a great album, but I think here to save you all was way tighter. I would rate that as a classic album along with C'Bo's mobfigaz and Spice 1 amerikkk's nightmare.

And Murdafunk, Dr dre's chronic and snoops doggystyle would be up there too, what about RBX, the first half of that album was the tightest first half of an album I ever heard, the rest of the album was tight too but not as tight as the first half. What ever happened to RBX, haven't heard anything from him since that solo. I used to love that nine album too until a friend lost it on me. Haven't heard it in years. What ever happened to Nine, Nine lives was tight and cloud nine was good too.
There are a few more but these come to mind.

a lot of good ideas and thoughts but keep in mind all aspects in and out side the music. It cant be a classic if you think a song or two is classic. Look at the record as a whole. Does it flow? Is the time period noticible? Rhymes and features? Publicity? Did it contribute notable offspring (up and coming rappers)? Production and sound? Tackle different subjects? Direction? Power move, involuntary or voluntary? These are some of the factorz that go through my head on a higher level. A little confusing, but some said only time will tell. Its all in the eye in the beholder too.
