Life practice has proven the much of what i was taught in school, by society, by the community, by religious institutions, by family to be false or purposefully misleading.
Mislead about the country we live in
Mislead about the myth of societal upward mobility surpassing class/race
Mislead about religion, the existence of god
Mislead about the nature of man
Mislead about numerous historical events
Mislead about other cultures, governments, etc
Mislead about world/U.S. history
Mislead about love, relationships, friendship, the family
feel free to replace mislead with lied to in many of those, it might make what i was saying seem stronger.
experiencing the truth first hand contrary to the lies you have been told even if for something small or seemingly insignificant at the time can change your entire life afterwards and cause you to question everything (rightfully or not) and lead you to many more "moments of clarity" where you experience the truth.
