What Happend With C-Note & Ruthless Records

What happened with the relationship between Tomica Wright (Ruthless Records) & Chris Hicks (C-Note Records)? I thought they were going to release a few projects.

Turf Stories was released by Ruthless....then nothing else.

There was a Dru Down 12" promo released by Ruthless, but that was it.

Yeah....I have had this since 99......Just found it while I was ripping vinyl to my computer. I forgot I had it.

It had me thinking...............LOL.

I THINK DRU DOWN'S "GANGSTA PIMPIN" ALBUM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON RUTHLESS RECORDS BUT WAS RELEASED ON C-NOTE IN 2001.

from what I remember turf stories didn't sell all that well and then there was drama between bone and ruthless and that pretty much killed ruthless as a company.

C-Note Records was as big as they come in the 90's they had swag and kept it gangsta great era for Bay Rap the Oakland MOB sound of the 90's was action packed kind of similar to what the Oakland rappers are doing today collabos etc. The Town is the Mecca of Bay street music has been for years.
