Str8 G - had that album, shadow of a G... decent G funk album... the track "Run" wid Mr Payback was dope.

G Mo - from West Covina... everyday thang to roll remix and dead man's point a view were the best.

DBA Flip - had a song called "Stay true, damu".

anyone else know of these artists?

I'll say this... there were many underground type 1 hit wonders back in the days.

going old skoo' wid my tape collection. These kats were not in many stores and I just bought them on the strength of name of songs and content. I think G Mo was in the source.

Since these katz were from LA, I thought maybe they had more of a following. Me being from Seattle, I just kinda wanted to follow up on em, since the net has advanced the music following and forums up by 10000x.

There were others in the 90's that didnt last as well.

I saw that thread about RBX. I liked RBX files.
Maybe Im reading it wrong, but are you saying RBX didn't last?

If so, he has like 4 albums with the latest coming out late last year or at the very beginning of this year..dont remember that.

I'm sayin in general, there were alot of 1 album guys. RBX is NOT one of them. Obviously he released something. I was just sayin that generally compared to artists these days... seem like many have saying power or atleast rely on mixtapes to keep their name out there.

Naw, Not sayin RBX didnt last. I didnt hear much of him til I saw that thread asking about him. I'm not up on all that's coming out or underground, so I just spout out people I havent heard much noise from.

RBX is a fav though... and I hope he has projects lined up. I've always liked his material.

mayn, I HAD alot of tapes from hella artists. I got alot of underground shit from my cold vacation from homies from different areas. Most of my tapes were 90's shit. Mid to late 90's had alot of underground NW muzik, Seattle, Portland, and Tacoma. Once my homies heard the shit I was bumpin, No mainstream, they was asking to borrow. I lost track of some, some I have still, some I forgot at the countless weekend parties I was hittin up back then.

So now its like I'm grindin to find em again... But then there's all the new dope shit coming out.
I "expanded" my music ears and let hip hop go for a bit. Coupled wid skool, travelling and MMA training, I only recently started to spend time listen to some dope ass muzik. specially hound muzik.

To me, these katz were dope, so I figure ask about them if they ever came up with a sophmore albums or what not. G Mo and Str8 G were dope.
