That's right kiddos, Activision's hugely successful Call of Duty franchise is spawning another sequel limb with today's semi-official announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is in development and set for release Fall 2009.


The announcement comes from a Microsoft sponsored Massive Inc. upfront where publishers showcase and talk about upcoming products to lineup advertisers prior to release. Activision didn't have any specifics to announce regarding the title, other than the fact that we'll be receiving a second helping of Modern Warfare late next year.

Anyone beyond excited for more CoD, especially a sequel to CoD4 which is arguably the best of the franchise?

that UFC game gonna be bananas.. im hella lookin forward to that shit. an by the time it comes out i'll actually be able to play video games again. im outta commission right now, can only play one button games like poker an shit lol.. broke the FUCK out my hand but anyway.. that UFC shit gonna be off the hinge

yeah i guess im looking forward to the next CoD since there isnt gonna be any more Resistance games im guessing ill just get the next best thing.

also, FFXIII.

Well the last GTA was fun, but they made that shit hella easy. Guess it's a matter of preference with that game. I know hella peeps who bought it and said it was tight and then the next week talked about how they don't fuck with it cause it got boring...

Anyway I'm looking forward to the new Fight Night and that UFC game. I'll probably pick up any good shooters just to satisfy my FPS appetite.
