Television.. becuase you dont have to think when watching it.. they Add in Music and Show you what they want you to see to push your Views in one Driection.. for exp

Like if Im Tv show that has lauch tracks in it,when the laugh track goes off.. Somtime i find myself laughing at jokes I wouldnt ever give the time of day to even think about.<-- I dont know if that has anything to do with what you asked.. I guess you would just have to know what i mean.
Anyway Tv and Radio are just brainwashing tools

TV, I swear people all the time rambling about, but on tv they said this happened,............. blah blah blah

Like it's always 100% true,....... like an old teacher of mine used to say, always take what they tell you on tv like a grain of salt.........

Take what you read and see with a grain of salt. Reporters are human and make errors, even though they aren't supposed to.

Newspaper had a big impact a LONG time ago, but TV has taken over since. And with newspapers losing popularity, the internet has begun to take a hold...and some newspapers actually have video reports on their websites now because they have to compete with TV so much.

But here's some advice, take EVERYTHING you hear and see with a grain of salt, NO MATTER where it came from.

i dont trust none of em but id say the internet would hold the truth more then television would because most of the information on the internet is user submitted and the chances of the truth being found are much more better then watching something thats pre-programmed by some suits...

probably TV...the majority of the world doesnt have access to the TV, and even less have access to the internet.....on the internet you can search around and see all points of view from different countries, websites, and stuff like that. on TV they only show you one point of view..

TV definitly. Like others have said people tend to take anything they see on TV/movies at face value even fictional material. Pschological studies have also shown the brain actually partly shuts down while watching TV/movies and even though you might now what you're watching is fake or untrue subconsciously your brain sees it as true. This why people cry during sad movies, jump during suspenseful ones and are scared in horror films. The reptile part of the brain (which controls fight or flight) is what processes information when watching TV/movies. That is why TV/movies are such a powerfull propaganda tool.

True, the Internet has a wealth of information but not everyone has access to it like they do TV. And the government, especially in the last few years, has done a great job selling the public on not believing what they read on it and it only being a haven for criminals, spammers and child porn.

Newspapers have much less impact that the other two in todays world. And they are controlled like most other major media by the same handlers.

The future for independant media is the Internet. But they are trying to control that as well by moving everyone to Internet2 in the coming years.

I agree - television definitely has the most influence on how people perceive things. You should have made a poll in this thread.

I just watched Bowling for Columbine for the first time last night (it just happened to be on tv so I thought I'd give it a go), and although much of it was shocking, it didn't surprise me. What I found particularly interesting was the observation that Canadians have 100 times less gun-related deaths than America and many even kept their doors unlocked at night because they felt save. The main difference Michael Moore pointed out concerned the portrayal of news in each country - American news is obsessed with death and violence, creating fear and panic in everyday Americans whereas Canada focusses far less on such negative news and more on the good things.

I know a lot of people pay the crap out of Michael Moore, but he's opened a hell of a lot of eyes, and even if what he says isn't ALL true, atleast it shows people the other side of the story.

YOUR FORGETTING ONE
MUSIC

I believe music has just potential to influence reality as other forms of media like television and news. Think about it, if soccer moms in the burbs have spinning rims on their minivans, and middle-class white kids are popping E pills because they listen to mac dre, or new words being used to the point of actually being included into the english dictionary, then music could be used to start a revolution if given the oppurtunity.

i believe the reason it doesnt however, is because jus as much as music reflects on society, society and the way things are is also what creates the music. its a cycle. as long as people are conditioned to remain ignorant and trained to treat women like bitches, hold money as their God, and play in to every new trend that comes up, then the music they create and listen to will reflect that.

a paradigm shift is definitly needed.

Music influences trends not perceptions.

Also, you type all this up about how music influences people and how it is conditioning people to remain ignorant "treat women like bitches, hold money as their God" and a "paradigm shift is needed" yet you are rapping about those very things that are "conditioning people to remain ignorant"

Cars, money, women, drugs, etc....How can you talk about "a paradigm shift is needed" and then reinforce the paradigm that is present by talking about all those things?

Just a few examples from your Myspace songs:

"Im in the club macking all the baddest bitches."

"when the deal is done Im gonna have tons of dough
ball in the mall cause i got funds to blow"

haha i was waiting for that burn loll. hear me out. i never said those flaws do not apply to me as well, im just noting that they exist. when i feel im in the position where i can spread knowldege to people then i will. its like giving someone a pot of water with holes at the bottom u know? whats the point of giving information that is incomplete or not completely supported. TRUST ME i have a lot of meeningful shit too, but u cant forget it is a BUSINESS. when J Diggs tells me to get on a track wit him and the creepers for example, i cant come wit no political shit or philosophical stuff. people aint tryna hear it and u need money to buy the freedom to choose your material. im tryin mayn but if they aint tryna hear what u sayin they wont listen to it. why not play their game for a while, they hear somethin they can bop to, go get the cd, and then like a trojan horse they end up gettin wisdom in certain tracks they werent even expecting u know? again i have a ways to go before im skilled enough to translate ALL the knowledge i have to offer in rhymes that are catchy enough to actually get heard. and u are right about supporting whats not right. but my reality still has those negative influences on it. until my mind is clear of attachements to material possesions and all that, how can i exclude those from the portrayel of what goes on in my life. AS I EVOLVE AS A PERSON SO WILL THE MUSIC THAT IS MADE AS A REFLECTION OF ME

and thanks for listening so closely too, i appreciate it ;)

hahaha....a lot of things are banned. u think people stopped goin to clubs and drinking alcohol jus cuz the new government said so? they jus find ways to get it goin underground. some house parties there are more crackin than any club ive ever been to in the US. the youth of Iran overwhelmingly outweighs the rest of the pop., last time i went there my cousin was bumpin "My Neck, My Back" in his Pegeot loll.
The only reason the youth hasnt rose against the government is because they dont want another bloody revolution until victory is guarenteed. but we still fight and die for our freedom, adn the western and european influence is too strong in Iran for a couple laws to wipe it away.
its really a different story over there than what the media out here makes it out to be. they get it crackin haha. its all big cities u kno it aint like a 20x20 sand pile wit a buncha dancin gypsys like the news makes it out to be. i mean look it how big persians do it out here, and those are mostly the FOBs who came straight outta Iran. they do it big out there.

granted Techno and trance is a LOOOOT bigger than hip-hop, but the internet can bring whatever to whoever u kno. if thye like it they got it.

hahaha naw they wont hang u for listening to music. the last hanging i heard was that sad case wit the 2 gay guys, and hanging people for bein gay and shit are part of methods revived since the islamic fundamentalists took over. the music thing is like, how can cops really know what ur playing in ur car? u kno? they could give a fuck what ur listening to unless ur bumping it hella loud and shit. then ya u could get fucked, fined or maybe arrested. again its not as "third world" as u think over there. there are malls, and record stores, and underground clubs and all that. the cops ride around in new body benz c230s. its not like theyre going around listening to ur music and publicly executing people for listening to rap. it dont go down like that
