That my decision not to vote was well informed and not a poorly made decision and was one that still entitles me to complain about the dreadful state this country is in/will be in as everyone else.

Most of the non-voters in this forum are better informed, better educated, and more politically minded and active than those who do vote. Which could lead someone to interpret that those who do vote as being the ones making poor decisions.

What dummy came with the argument that if you don't vote you can't complain? I just had a convo with my oldest sister and mother, and my sister asked me if I was voting. I said no and she was shocked. I then told her the same way atheists feel about religion I feel about voting. She then starts telling me about some atheists in prison came to her prison church thing that she does every week (she has a prison ministry.) So I told her they probably weren't true atheists, or even if they were, wanted to learn more to possibly make them more firm in their beliefs. Then she says if I don't vote I can't complain. Thats when I started to run it down to her that voting was not some mandate or requirement to voicing my views or disdain for the way things go in this country.

Long story short, she started saying some crazy shit that I couldn't even here and I saw my mom agreeing with her lol.

This election has a lot of people losing their minds.

I havent voted in past elections because i figured not much will change, they're all tools. i still believe that but i feel you can still vote, especially for parties besides republicans and democrats, and have your vote heard.
