Heh funny I was about to post this same topic. To me Brown Pride is a Mexican thing, and its being proud of who/what you are. I was talking to some of my Norteno(Mexican/Salvadorean) homeboys about this and they were saying "This is the 21st century homeboy; brown pride goes for all the latinos in this world. We all Brown, and we should all be proud of it. Its representing that you are proud to be what you are"

BROWN PRIDE WHAT I HAVE KNOWN IT TO BE IS OUR PEOPLE BEING UNITED AS ONE FOR THE MAIN CAUSE OF THE PROGRESSION OF OUR RACE AND AS WELL AS TAKING CARE OF OUR PEOPLE AND KNOWING ABOUT OUR PAST AND THE ROAD THAT PEOPLE IN THE PAST MADE FOR US.

WHAT DO YOU THINK NORTENOS ARE FIGHTING FOR...

Brown Pride

Good question. What brown pride means to me is the unity of our raza no matter what origin you are from, no matter what part of the United States you are in or which country you are from, no matter what poverty or wealth you have. As long as you are willing to take your life and soul to make a difference for the “La Causa”, the cause for you, your familia, your homeboys to have a better way in life. To remember our Aztec culture, from the roots we came from. For those who oppose the unity of triumph in this part of California fuck them, for them trying to put us down fuck them. Know the cause before you oppose know what we want before your against us, because your either with us or without us, so your against us then fuck you. Most people become scrap thinking we killed your brother, homeboy, or whatever to get back at us, but take the time and learn what you are fighting for before you jump in this. 4 me life of a Norteno is the life for me. Is the life around me, the life within me, the life of a farmero, of a father, a life my rootz come from Mexico, which where we are standing is still Mexico in my eyes. Yes it’s a better life know, but do you know how it was taken do you know what Zapata was fighting for, do you know what your raza is all about?

Learn about it, read on about it. Take a trip to Mexico and see the temples.

BROWN PRIDE NORTENO 4 LIFE, HASTA LA MUERTE.

i always see it as a mexican thing, cause for the most part salvadoreans and guatemalans that i have seen ain't screaming brown pride. alot of people from other courtries of latin descent dislike mexicans. but, i think it is about being proud of the culture and who we are, and where we come from. cesar chavez was instrumental in making people proud to be mexicans, he was revolutionary for the people breaking their back out in the fields and shit, and we should all love our hermanos regardless of occupation and stand up as a race of people if we ever want anything from this country...............................but instead, there are a gang of scraps, and until they are wiped out, brown pride will never work in this world. i agree with babyboy ene, alot of people claim that shit to an eNe's face to not get hit up on the streets. i own a couple brown pride shirts.....the ones with aztec arte on the back and stuff cause i am proud of my aztec heritage but brown pride will never work.

@ ravage, why start this subject and then say you'll type what you feel later? are you scared of being judged by the net bangers?

To me brown pride means being aware of your herritage and where you came from and how your able to be here today, now i'm proud to be chicana, but i'm also not ignorant and i remind myself that some where down the line there were people before me and my grandparents and even before there parents that lived in mexico and just being able to think of the fact that people would never think that one day brown people would of came so far, white people used to make the people here that spoke only spanish feel ashamed and thats the reason my family doesnt know spanish to this day,but my point is i am thankfull that i'm here today but i try and remind myself everyday of my roots cause we really cant respect eachother as a race until we respect our herritage and thats why i would say no one could truly answer this question because brown pride goes so much deeper then saying it, you have to know it and mean it,know the history i think were all kinda selfish if you think about its because along time ago all brown colored people once were united and together because it was a day when stick to your own kind was happening every where and we were all we had " our own color"but now days have changed .how we once needed eachother has now turned into everyone hating eachother or saying how nah i wouldn't even support brown pride i have my own back.like i always say we as a race have made so many good things happen by sticking together its like taking 5 steps forward and 3 steps back it just gets us nowhere.
