I just made my first film, and I'm about to start pre-production of my second. I know the kind of movies I enjoy and want to make, but this isn't all about me. I also know everything I hate/love about Hollywood, but what about you? I'm just looking for some feedback. What do you want to see when you go to the theater or buy a dvd? What are your likes/dislikes? What's your favorite genre of film, thought-provoking or slash em and hack em type shit, surreal, drama, romance, violence, sex, ect. ect.....what do you want to see in the movies? You're my audience, speak to me...

Dog you know what I like LOL!
80's zombie flicks are the shit!
They held nothing back when it came to gore. Make-up effects are much more realistic than the played out CG in movies today....
Oh yeah and fuck rated R movies, they ain't good enough. NC 17 is more like it....

I hate drama, unless it's an actual "real" story.
Ficticious drama movie? Fuck'em....

Sci Fi's good when it's done right....

And of coarse violent action movies are off the hook.

But I will say this and I hope you really take it into consideration, every movie you work on regardless of genre should be thought provoking.... I love movies like the Matrix, not for it's special effects but because they are complex and thought provoking.

PS.... I almost forgot, Hong Kong Kung Fu movies are the shit!
Kung Fu grandmasters VS zombies! That will be the day....

Nightbreed, I need to holla at you some time in the future man.
I'm workin on a script for a comedy movie....

I like quick editing and time cuts (so long as you don't particularly notice them). An example of perfect editing is the movie Narc.

And that story was beautiful.

I enjoy corrupt cops, some violence is usually necessary... I always say, leave the love interest bullshit to chick flicks. I'm also a huge fan of dialogue driven plots.
