as of late i have been seeing necative posts geared towards quinn and 40 for there new singles..
these cats, ESPECIALLY E-40 are trying to put the bay on the map...
E-40 has the biggest chance since he is alligned with lil john...but i mean damn, what do you guys want? what does e-40 need to do to make you people happy..this man has been the ambassador of the bay since gosh forever...
you can go to any city and they will know who he is...
I am confused, what do you people want?
what will it take in your eyes, what will make you happy?

But either way, there hasn't been a bunch of hating towards 40 or quinn, people(not trolls) aren't attacking them or saying they fell off. They don't like their singles so they say it, oh fucking well.

you guys are so fucking stupid. the point is the bay artists aren't even looking at the bigger picture. they're catering to bay area people making music only the bay feels. you really think an annoying ass song talkin bout scrapers and goin dumb is gonna be #1 on 106&Park and hot97? gimme a break...the artists need to wake up and look at the bigger picture if they ever wanna get signed to a major label and do something big...

I personally don't care about the criticism that siccness users are directing towards our artist. These bay rappers are already household names in the Bay. All they need to do is gain a wider audience outside of the Bay. I agree that E40 has the biggest chance to likely blow up the Bay with his affiliation with BME records. What else is the Bay suppose to do? If niggahs can blow up talking about jewlery why can't we blow up about going dumb? Not every cant afford high priced jewlery. However the doors are open for those who want to act stupid or yolk and dip in their cars. Sky's the limit. We're already receiving recognition outside the bay as we speak. It's about to be our time once again. So i'm glad 40 is running with the whole hyphy/go dumb theme. It's only right because we all go dummy when we hear shit that slaps. People outside the bay area are already catching on to this hyphy movement. Dipset, ying yang, david banner etc knows whats up with this hyphy movement. I'd say, "FUCK IT! LETS RUN WITH IT!"

If the song is a hit, the song is a hit. Regardless of how annoying you may think it is. You never know what's going to be the next 'thing'. It's a good thing that people like you (Traximus) think the Hyphy stuff is annoying because that means it's something different. When something different comes along, some people get it right away because they have forsight. Some people are so into what's going on at the moment they don't see what could be. I'll bring the Neptunes up again. They used to play tracks for people and the artists and execs would be like "What the fuck is that? Get the fuck out of here with that shit" ... Well ... We all know how this one ends up.

I'll go on record and say that I'm not the biggest fan of the actual Hyphy music - but I understand how it could work. Right now (to me), Hyphy seems to be more about "lifestyle" than music. That's where you have to question the longevity of what could be called a 'fad'. I say that because it's easy to define "going dumb" or "getting hyphy" in the physical and fashion sense, but in terms of music, how do you define it?

yea but there's a difference, their shit sounds good. they have way better sounding beats and they don't sound like they're on crack...

mike jones is the only one i can think of who sounds somewhat annoying. play a mike jones radio hit and a bay radio hit like that "scraper scraper purple purple" and you can tell which one is way more annoying...or that supersick wid it remix track, that shit hurts my ears it sounds like shit...
