For the 5% of us on here that aren't grade-schoolers and actually have a REAL job...what do you do for lunch?

I usually make some sort of chicken lunch for the week on Sundays like a chicken, rice and veggie casserole or prepare a few chicken breasts and cut 'em up in a salad the night before. I also have a bunch of soups in the cupboard at work if I decide on that, but I always prepare my own lunches except for when my boss buys lunch.

lol @ gradeschoolers

I bring:
2 bagels
1 fruit
1 pound of lunchmeat
1/4 pound of cheese
1 quart of chocolate milk
at least a half gallon of water
and a snack ;)

(I eat the lunchmeat out of the bag. I dont make sammich's)

I work at a restaurant so I get a free meal, but I find the food to be a little hard to stomach. I usually just bring in food I cooked the previous day or buy a little sandwich down the street. I work in a tourist town, though, so a sandwich costs like $7 which is total bullshit. The lady there usually throws in a free croissant or something for me so it's kinda worth it.

usually i get an hour lunch, so i just come home for lunch since I live pretty close to the store. If i get a half hour i just get some bullshit out the deli. or sometimes go out to eat with some fellow employees.

Tony, what constitutes a real job? I work at a hardware store, I don't know if you consider that a real job, but I pack my own stuff or go across the nearest fast food restaurant and buy the cheapest yet healthiest thing on the menu.

Damn.....That's exactly how I am. Matter of fact, a Charley's sub, french fries and a soda cost me exactly $7 today. It blows. Tax is 10%, too.

i live 3 blocks away from my work so i normally just drive to my house and fix myself a quick lunch(grilled cheese, sandwich, deep fried chimichangas, left over dinner, hot dogs, eggs & bacon etc. etc.). On occasions I'll go to Quiznos and order me a Chicken Cabanara hot sub. Or i'll swing by Teriyaki King and get myself a teriyaki bowl with some cheese wontons and eggrolls.

We have a salad and sandwich bar here at work, so I'll either build myself a salad, or build myself a tuna sandwich or something. Simple. And they sell it by weight, so its dirt cheap. No more that 2 or 3 dollars for a salad or sandwich with all the fixins.

I usually will bring it up to the register, weigh it, pay, then go back and add more goodies. LOL
