i saw two northwestern high games, (marcus forston's high school) and from what i saw, he was very athletic, and he was able to show that he could stop the run. it definitely seems that he should be a pretty good player. in his senior year, he had 21 sacks.
miami actually has recruited well, with marcus forston and arthur brown, a linebacker they got from wichita, kansas.
as far as travis beckum goes, i don't know if he can break out already, he's already a very good tight end. he was recruited as an outside linebacker, but converted to tight end in 2006. i just don't know how an all-american can break out. that's why i felt sean lee, from penn. state already broke out, because he was an all-american last year.
here's travis beckum's stats:
2006: 61 receptions, 903 yards, 5 tds
2007: 75 receptions, 982 yards, 6 tds
if he doesn't gain weight, (he's reportedly 224 lbs. right now) then he should be a wide reciever once he gets drafted into the nfl.
pat white, he already broke out too.
