These are a few pictures from my trip to Thailand, not the best or the worst, just a random sample. Obviously I've already taken the pictures so there isn't anything I can do about the subject or composition, but I was wondering if there was anything I could do now that they've been taken to make them look better.

Any effects, adjustments, etc. I have photoshop CS already and could get anything else.

I'd appreciate any ideas or help you can offer.

Also you don't have to give me feedback on all these pictures(unless you want to). Just pick one and let me know what I can do to make it look better.

These are great!!! I love the flower pics. I suggest using the vibrance filter on all the flower pics. The kidspics use a colors adjustment to pop those colors out.ie shirts pants etc. The building mask off the sky and use a photofilter to cool it off a bit. The darker pic I would convert to lab and just lighting up small areas. The boat pic I would just hdr it.

Did you shoot those in RAW or JPG?

I think you only have the jpgs and then I would open them in photoshop. go to the layers menu and 'create a new adjustment layer' the circle icon which is half black half white. And choose 'curves' from the menu.

I suggest you play around with that and I think they can enhance some of your photos.

If you have adobe bridge aswell you are stil able to open them up in CameraRaw. Here would photoshop normally open up RAW images.
Only you will have less options availible to you. I think it would be easier for you if you don't know your way around photoshop so much yet.

Load the files in Adobe Bridge, right click one of them and select open with CameraRaw.
Here you'll be able to edit the pictures with a good amount of sliders you can just slide to edit the photos.

Lot's of those have great composition but I would definetely crop a few using the rectangular marquee tool and image>crop.

You could adjust the levels with the preview clicked and see what happens. I would darken and balance the contrast on some of em through shadow/highlights. Also peep some of the photo filters in image>adjustments menu like warming (92) but definetely change the density from the original default.

GOTTA EMPHASIZE TO REALLY STRAY AWAY FROM USING EFFECTS IN THE FILTER PULL DOWN MENU UNLESS YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC REASON FOR DOING SO (like changing the depth of field by bluring the background to bring more focus to the main subject) I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES THE AVERAGE JOE WILL UGLIFY THEIR WORK WITH "COOL" FILTERS LIKE THE ONES FOUND IN STYLIZE AND DISTORT.

most of all save the originals whether they are RAW or jpeg.
