Probably more higher than lower, if we all put our money where our mouths are.

$X investment (50/100?) for X albums on the back end. Most everything is already taken care of, and I'm sure D-Sane could do the final mastering himself. If that man decided to go back and add 4-5 bonus cuts, or change some beats, etc., again, everything is already recorded. Just a matter of finding more hours in a day.

Graphics are one of the few things that would cost.......Oh, and "marketing" (industry jargon for, "I'm going to charge you more per unit").

But, dropping 2-3 large on a Best Of album at this point in time? Who would push it? I don't see it happening without a SIZEABLE outside investment ergo promise by the People to help him promote it. Then again, I could be wrong.

Any way you slice it, I've got $100 on it.

Its something that I talked to D about a long time ago.. *time & money*

.. I think it would definately be an easy sell but theres so much time that would have to be put into it putting it all together, not to mention what tracks to put on the "obviously" double disc (it would be impossible to put out a single IMO- but would be good to put it out to the fans to vote) and then getting the artists in the streets to hustle the units to recoup.. putting the bread up is another aspect but I'm sure there are folks that would invest some REAL bread.. but yeah.. I hate to speak on a subject that D-Sane can answer bestest-- so we'll see if he makes an appearance..

I would do everything possible to help this project. Double disc. Most tracks would need to be original. Maybe a few remixes of songs, put the remixes on opposite discs than the original was on. If this project goes into light, I'm pretty sure financial backing would follow through. Fuck, it would be an awesome addition to the local scene.

Then of course there's always the drama surrounding ex-artists who will come crawling out the woodwork talkin' about...."See! He's makin' money off of us again and not payin' us shit!"

I'd much rather do a best of D-Sane album so I can put tracks like "Bangin' It" from Loco's album on there.
