AT WORK YESTERDAY WE WERE DISCUSSING MLK....SOMEONE ASKED -WHAT DID HE ACTUALLY DO?
THE MOST COMMON ANSWERS WERE......HE INSPIRED PEOPLE TO TRY TO VIEW ALL AS EQUALS......HE INSPIRED BLACKS TO TRY TO BETTER THEMSELVES........


WHAT DO YOU THINK HE ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHED??????????AND IS HE AS IMPORTANT AS EVERYONE MAKES HIM OUT TO BE????

I'M JUST LOOKIN FOR EVERYONE'S OPINIONS.....

He went against the system. He went against what the 'norm' was. His message was strong and loud but above all Truth. A message in which led to exposer of the racial inequalities of America. He led a peacfull and succesful civil rights movement. A movment which changed the course of American history forever.

He basically saw something we did not. This vision came from God. His "Dream" was not his, but all of ours. Weather we want to accept it or not, this "dream" will live inside of us all. Because Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. put his life on the line for "us".

Yessuh!! Martin Luther King did alot. First of all, he was determined to get equal rights for minorities and he did it. Thats just to name one thing he did. The ironic thing about what he's done, he never had to pick up a gun or resort to violence to do it.

mannn MLK actually helped white folks out.. he helped em out by lettin em see their crooked ways n a way that didnt make them hostile... Secondly he helped improve the life for ALL minorities not just Black folks.. and I think a lot of minorities dont respect him cuz they think he was only a black activist.. black folks put in a lot of work for everyone in this damn country and we dont get n e luv/respect for it
